Environment

Did you know:

  • A typical 100 square metre two-storey detached timber frame house built to the latest Building Regulations contains 5-6 cubic metres more wood than the equivalent traditionally constructed house. This means that every timber frame home we produce saves about 4 tonnes of carbon dioxide (about the same amount as produced by driving 14,000 miles)
  • If all new houses built in the UK since 1945 had been timber frame, then more than 300 million tonnes of carbon dioxide would have been saved. To put this into context, consider the fact that, at current rates, it will take us another 200 years to achieve this sort of saving using the Governments latest energy regulations for new homes.

  • Production

Hedalm Anebyhus produce a panellised construction that is a typical form of Modern Method of Construction (MMC). The walls are off-site manufactured (OSM) flat panels and assembled on site to produce a three-dimensional structure. The panels are closed on one side and include insulation, wind barrier, external cladding and windows!

    Projects

In 2007 two developments were completed in Redditch near to Birmingham. At Ken Somner Gardens 16 bungalows were built, and at Margaret Llewelyn Davies Close 20 houses were built.

    Thanks!

A great thanks to Stem Ltd for the wonderful job they have done with the high quality illustrations of our standard housetypes.
